Designed in collaboration with award-winning architect Alex Lifschutz, the Coda street furnishings range by companies Woodhouse provides extended-term durability with a refined palette of materials and finishes. The Coda variety attributes a bench, seat, stool, bollard, bin and bike stand which is launched collectively with a complementary wayfinding signage program. Each item is visually co-ordinated to facilitate a harmonised street scene. The recurring conic shape and tapered profile express a modern style which complements a variety of architectural designs.
The slim, low-profile of the seating conveys a sense of lightness and refinement that the robustness of the concrete employed as the basic structural ingredient. The contrast with the sustainably sourced Iroko hardwood creates a two-tone effect and supplies excellent scope for colour customization. The diagonal detail developed where the two supplies meet is repeated through the variety and provides Coda a distinctive visual identity. [Photos and data offered via e-mail by Woodhouse]
