To celebrate Bristol Central Library’s 400th anniversary, the library constructed a new living sculpture that consists of 400 “moving” books attached on hexagonal cells to display each year of the library’s history. The swarm of animated books responds to the movements of the library’s visitors, opening and closing in breathtaking patterns. For art enthusiasts, Book Hive will be displayed at Bristol Central Library till March 7, 2014.
